The Perry wrestling program really hasn’t paid a lot of attention to the recent move up to class 3A for this year’s postseason wrestling action.  The Bluejays have been dialed in with the first portion of their regular season schedule and for the most part it has been business as usual.

“It really doesn’t impact us during the regular season,” stated second year head coach Mark Weber.  “Really the only time we will notice it will come regional time and since 3A doesn’t  have a sectional date its like we get a bye that first weekend of action when we are normally competing.  The biggest difference will be that all the marbles will come on district day and one day to earn your right for state.”

Perry has a busy January lined up to prepare them for the 3A postseason.

“I like how our January laid out.  I think the schedule will do a good job of getting us ready for that one big day of postseason wrestling.”
