The Perry Chamber of Commerce is ready for the new year, and is preparing to work on recruiting new members.

Chamber Board President Emily Leslie says they have a new membership application, which includes outlining the perks the Chamber offers. “So say you need a sandwich board — because you’ve got an open house, a grand opening, you’ve got something that you need just that extra help with — well we have those! So we’re letting our membership know, if you reach out we will be glad to help you in that area. We also have our large check for presentations, so say that your business donated money to the Humane Society or another organization. Well we have those products for you to use. So that’s kind of what we’re trying to do, is just let our membership know what we have that we can offer them.”

The Chamber also offers oversized ceremonial scissors for ribbon cuttings, which have become a crowd favorite. Leslie says they will be distributing membership applications to businesses around town, and she’s hopeful the features and benefits offered will encourage them to give the Chamber a try.
