Starting at noon in the hospital’s community room, there will be a free program on how exercise can help symptom management for those suffering through the disease. The event is sponsored by the Iowa Chapter of the American Parkinson’s Disease Association, and will cover the basics and stages of the disease, the motor and non-motor symptoms, and the importance of exercise. The guest speaker will be Becky Robel, who is a personal trainer with expertise on senior strength and conditioning. A free lunch will also be provided to attendees.
