Jody Carnes 54 of Jefferson was booked into the jail for failure to appear.
A deputy investigated a single vehicle accident on 220th Street near Granite Avenue. Joshua Lawson 40 of Jefferson was traveling east on 220th Street. A semi traveling west blew up snow and Joshua could not see. Joshua swerved and went into the ditch hitting a culvert. The estimated damage to the 2006 Chrysler 300 was 9,500 dollars. Nobody was injured in the accident.
A deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle on N Avenue and 220th Street.
A deputy conducted a traffic stop with the Jefferson Police Department on Grimmell Road and Central Street. Jesus Zuniga 18, and Justin Lopez 19 of Jefferson were arrested for a controlled substance violation.
A deputy investigated a suspicious vehicle on 337th Street.

A deputy investigated a careless driver on 220th Street near Hillcrest Avenue.
A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with an arrest near the Central Christian Church.
A deputy investigated a single vehicle accident on Main Street in Scranton. Trae Frohlich 25 of Carroll lost control of his 2005 Chevrolet Sierra truck and struck a building at 1016 Main Street, Scranton. The estimated damage to the truck is around 2,000 dollars. The estimated damage to the building was around 7,000 dollars.

A deputy assisted a motorist on 220th Street near S Avenue.
A deputy investigated a careless driving complaint on 220th Street near Grand Junction.
Sunday, December 31st
A deputy investigated a single vehicle accident on Neola Avenue near 330th Street. Benjamin Barron 39 of Jefferson lost control of his 2008 Chevrolet Malibu and went into the ditch. There was no damage to the vehicle.
A deputy investigated a suspicious bag in the 500 block of North 16th Street, Grand Junction.
A deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle in the 300 block of 230th Street.
A deputy assisted a motorist on 220th Street near W Avenue.
A deputy assisted a motorist on 220th Street near U Avenue.
A deputy assisted a motorist on U Avenue near X Avenue.
A deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 700 block of East Main Street, Grand Junction.
Monday, January 1st
A deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle on A Avenue north of 165th Street.
A deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle on A Avenue near 330th Street.
A deputy investigated a verbal domestic in the 900 block of North 11th Street, Grand Junction.
The Sheriff and a deputy responded to a garage fire in the 500 block of Jay Street, Churdan. Churdan Fire responded and put the fire out. The fire was caused by a chimney fire.
Tuesday, January 2nd
A deputy tried to locate a cow out on 13 th Street just east of Paton.
A deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle on U Avenue just south of Rippey.
A deputy located a power line down in the ditch on 280th Street near R Avenue.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
