Greene County Elementary hosted their 5th annual Jingle Read Friday afternoon.

Students in kindergarten through 4th grade were able to pick out a book to read and keep at the event. Around 500 books were distributed to students this year thanks to the RAM Reader program. Over 250 adults came to read with their child at the event, which featured Christmas carols and a skit. There was also an appearance by Santa, who gave all the students candy canes. The event was aided by volunteers from Greene County Hospital, who read to students whose families were unable to attend.
