On Thursday the Charger wrestlers took the mats one final time in 2017. ACGC entered a quadrangular set with East Union, Van Meter/Earlham, and hosts Woodward-Granger. The Chargers went 1-2 on the day, defeating East Union and falling to VM-E and W-G.

Devon Jackson (170), Joseph Davis (126), Zachary Fees (132), and Cole Plowman (160) all won by forfeit in the 32-30 victory over East Union. Seth Danker (106) and Blaine Beeler (120) also picked up points with victories by decision. The Charges fell to VM-E 71-10 and W-G 70-6. Fees was the only Charger to go undefeated with two victories by forfeit, and one by fall over W-G’s Colt Palmer.

The Chargers will get a much needed two weeks rest before their next meet. ACGC will compete in the Coon Rapids-Bayard Tournament Saturday, January 6th.
