ADM Tigers

The final competition of 2017 took the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers wrestling team to Des Moines Friday evening.The Tigers traveled to Saydel High School for a nonconference triangular against the Eagles and the Panorama Panthers. The Tigers closed the first half of the season with one dual win.

ADM opened the competition grappling Panorama. The Tigers won three weight classes against the Panthers in a loss, 55-15. ADM won two of their three matches by pinfall and another by decision. Andrew Flora (120; 3:00) and Brodrick Schmidt (160; 5:05) were the ADM wrestlers who registered wins by fall against Panorama. Nolan Harsh (152) won his bout by an 11-5 decision.

The second dual saw ADM edge Saydel, 40-38. The Tigers won two contested matches against the Eagles, one pin, and a major decision. Trevor Flettre (170; 2:31) won his grapple by fall. Kolton Benz (126) recorded a 13-1 major decision victory. ADM scored 30 points via forfeited weight classes. The results push ADM’s dual record to 5-13 entering the holiday break. The Tiger wrestlers resume their season on Saturday, January 6, grappling in the annual Gary Christensen Invite at Winterset High School.
