Scott Thomas Smith of 14405 Alpine Dr., Urbandale was traveling northbound in the 33000 block of R Ave. when his vehicle struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries reported. Estimated damage to the vehicle is $4000.00.

Jamie Nathan Larson, age 41 of 5012 Emerson Dr., Ames was arrested on a warrant for violation of probation- violated protective order.

David Michael Cannon, age 39 of 505 Main St., Grand Junction was arrested on warrants for failure to appear-original charges of theft 4th and violation of probation.

Austin James Hunter of Pleasant Hill was traveling westbound on I80 in the left lane when his vehicle was struck from behind by a semi- truck driven by Ali H. Ali of Lincoln, NE. Hunter lost control of his vehicle causing him to go toward the median and finally resting in the cable barrier. No damage to the carrier barrier. Ali was cited for failure to provide proof of liability. No injuries were reported. Damage to Hunter’s vehicle is estimated at $5000.00 and Ali’s vehicle is $3500.00.

Angelica Ruth Downs of 210 W. 2nd St., Woodward was traveling southeast on Hwy 141 Diagonal when she lost control of her vehicle causing her to enter the south ditch. As she entered the ditch her vehicle struck a road sign and overturned onto it’s top. The driver was checked by the medics but refuse transport. Down’s was cited for failure to maintain control. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $7000.00.
