Class 4A ninth ranked Boone was a 50-12 non-conference girls’ basketball winner over Greene County on Thursday night in the Toreadors’ gym. Coach Jim McPartland’s team improved to 8-1 with the victory while Coach Dean Lyons’ Rams lost for the sixth time in a row and stand at 3-7 heading into the break for the holidays.

The points scored were a season low for Greene County as the Rams made just five of 36 field goal attempts. They were one for six on three-point shots and also one for six from the free throw line. Greene County turned the ball over 24 times. Senior Samantha Hardaway had six points, all in the second quarter to lead the Rams in scoring.

Boone had 10 turnovers while making 20 of 53 field goal attempts. The Toreadors were three of 20 from three-point range and five of six from the foul line. Claire Sandvig scored 17 for Boone with 10 points each from Caitlynne Shadle and Emma Dighton.
