A Scranton woman involved in an assault incident was recently sentenced in Greene County District Court.
According to court documents, 32-year-old Amanda Fay Petrzilka Lawrence pled guilty to an amended charge of a Class D Felony for third degree burglary. She had her five-year prison sentence suspended and was placed on probation for three-years.
The charge stems from an incident on August 4th when Lawrence entered a rental residence in the 200 block of East Perry Street in Jefferson. Lawrence and a second suspect, 31-year-old Jesse Lynn Crawford of Jamaica, went into the residence and assaulted Crawford’s ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend. The two were arrested later in Lawrence’s home in the 700 block of Main Street in Scranton.
Court documents show that Lawrence had her fine and surcharges suspended and was unable to pay for her court-appointed attorney fees. She was ordered to pay court costs and a law enforcement surcharge. Crawford also pled guilty to an amended charge of a Class D Felony for third degree burglary and has reached a plea agreement. He will have a sentencing hearing at a later date.
