A Jefferson woman faces a felony charge for domestic abuse.

Police Chief Mark Clouse says officers responded to the incident in the 300 block of South Pinet Street around 10:19am Tuesday. Clouse tells Raccoon Valley Radio when officers arrived on scene, the suspect, 45-year-old Michelle Lyn Paradise, was involved in a struggle with her boyfriend over a cellphone. The victim alleged that Paradise bit him on the arm. During the investigation, officers confirmed a bite mark was on the victim’s arm and since Paradise had no marks on her body, it was determined that Paradise was the primary physical aggressor and was arrested.

Paradise was charged with a Class D Felony for her third or subsequent offense for domestic abuse assault. She was booked and released from the Greene County jail.
