Millions of High School Student Athletes across America compete every year with the hopes of one day getting the opportunity to further their education and athletic careers. For Panorama Panthers senior Devyn Kemble, the hard work has paid off. Kemble will attend Northwestern College and compete for the school in Basketball and Track and Field.
Her resume as a two-sport athlete for the Panthers makes her an exciting pick up for any school. On the Court, she’s coming off a season in which she averaged 14 points and 5 rebounds per game and was a huge key in her team’s 22-2 overall record. That success earned Kemble her second straight first team all-conference recognition. This season looks to be just as impressive, her Panthers are off to a 9-1 start while Kemble averages 16 points a game and shoots 44% from three-point range.
Kemble is also a three-year letter winner and state qualifier in track and field. As a junior, she qualified for state in four events and is the school record holder at 400 meters (58.66) and as the anchor in the sprint medley (1:51.9). Academically, Kemble is a national honor society student and plans to Major in Nursing.
The backbone of a remarkable Panorama Panthers program for two years is not ready to leave Panora just yet, though. After last years incredible run ended in a heartbreaking regional finals loss, the Panthers stand at the top of the West Central Conference and have looked as dangerous as any team in the state. As the season grows longer and the big games get closer, Devyn Kemble and the Panthers have one thing on their mind; Get to Wells Fargo, and then win.
