An older sister’s influence is the topic of the ADM Student Spotlight during tonight’s broadcast of Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers basketball on True Country K 107.9. Tonight’s student spotlight is with Emma Jacobsen, whose a junior on this year’s ADM girls basketball team. Jacobsen told Raccoon Valley Radio during the preseason that her two older sisters helped push her into the sport of basketball, especially her sister Molly. “My other sister, Abby, quit early, but she loved the game,” Jacobsen said, “(However,) Molly pushed me to become a better player. When she was a senior, and I was a freshman, I got to play with her a little bit, and that was fun.”
Molly Jacobsen played basketball at ADM from 2012-2016. She holds one school record her younger sister would like to break. “I want to beat my sister Molly’s three-point record in a season,” Jacobsen said, “She scored 43 (three-pointers) in a season, so I’m trying to get 44.”
