A single-vehicle wreck early Friday morning in Dallas County resulted in the death of one individual.

The Iowa State Patrol reports the incident occurred around 2 a.m., when 26-year-old Ali Saquib of West Des Moines was travelling eastbound on Highway 6. The initial investigation indicated Saquib was nearing the intersection of G Avenue just east of Redfield. He failed to negotiate a turn and his 2014 Lexus sedan left the roadway. It rolled several times and the driver was ejected from the vehicle, as he was not wearing a seatbelt. Saquib was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident is under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol. The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
