The holiday season is a busy time for the local food pantries, including the Dallas County mobile food pantry.
However, due to the holidays, the mobile food pantry had to shuffle around its schedule a bit this month. The next stop will be tomorrow in Redfield from 5-7 p.m., at the Redfield City Hall. After that, it will make a stop at Dallas County Hospital in Perry on Wednesday, December 13th from 4-6 p.m. The final stop of the year will be on Monday, December 18th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the New Hope Youth Center in Adel.
At each location, the Food Bank’s trucks will deliver customized loads of food, including produce, meat, bread, and non-perishable items. Local volunteers will set up a distribution system similar to a farmers market. There is no identification required to receive food from the mobile food pantry, but everything is first-come, first-serve.
