A Coon Rapids man was recently sentenced in Greene County District Court for a March incident.
According to court documents, 33-year-old Bryan Gene Snell pled guilty to a Class D Felony for his third or subsequent offense for an OWI. He had his five-year prison sentence suspended and was placed on probation for three years.
The incident happened on March 3rd, during a traffic stop by a Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy. The deputy stopped Snell’s vehicle for not having properly displayed license plates at 335th Street and Apple Avenue. As the deputy was checking on Snell’s information, Snell got out of his vehicle and fled on foot. The deputy was able to catch and arrest him.
In the plea agreement, the state agreed to drop all of the other charges including: misdemeanors for driving while barred, possession of a controlled substance and two counts of interference with official acts. Snell was also ordered to pay over $5,000 in fines, surcharges and court costs.
