An annual Thanksgiving tradition continues to be successful.

The 7th Annual Gobble Gobble 5K Run/Walk event in Paton drew over 100 participants. The entry fee for this year’s race was five canned goods per participant, with all items to be donated to the Greene County Action Resource Center in Jefferson. ARC Coordinator Diane Blackmer says over 400 items were donated to the food pantry.

Plus, an overall winner and the male and female who predicted their finish times the closest won pumpkin pies. This year’s overall female winner was Erica Rittgers and the male overall winner was Spencer Warehime. The female who guessed within three seconds of her finish time and received a pie was Regan Lamoureux and Dakota Mobley won for the males by guessing within one second of his finishing time.
