Perry Superintendent Clark Wicks has only been on the job for around five months, but he’s already bringing some accolades into the District.
The Iowa High School Athletic Directors Association announced recently that Wicks was selected to be this year’s recipient of their Outstanding School Administrator Award. Wicks was surprised, pleased, and excited all at the same time to learn he will be receiving the honor. He says the award incorporates all the work he’s done in his over 30 years of working with athletics, and not just the last five months, but says the award is a great way to shine some positive light on Perry. Wicks added, receiving the award brings back a lot of memories of the many experiences he’s had as a coach, official, administrator, and even a player. He feels athletics are beneficial to the growth of students, and he’s very happy to be a part of it.
The award presentation will be held Sunday, March 25, 2018 at the IHSADA State Conference in Coralville.
