Greene County ISU Extension is hosting a special traveling exhibit next week.

Extension Director Lori Mannel says the Iowa State University Insect Zoo is coming to the Extension office in Jefferson on Wednesday, December 6th from 2:30 to 3:30pm. It is free for kids in kindergarten through fourth grade. Mannel explains what will happen at the event.

“The children will get close up and personal with the exciting world of insects. The Insect Zoo program brings hands-on experiences with basics of insects, spiders, tarantulas, millipedes, centipedes and scorpions. We do ask that you register. We are limiting it to 30 children.”

The registration deadline for the free program is tomorrow. Call 386-2138 or stop by the Extension office to sign up.
