There’s lots of holiday activities happening in Grand Junction this weekend.
The annual “Jingle Into Junction” takes place this Sunday from 5 to 6:30pm. The Horizons and Garden clubs will have a variety of soups, crackers, ham sandwiches, bars and drinks for a free-will offering. Plus attendees can get meals to go as well. A silent auction is also going on now. Items are on display at the Grand Junction People’s Trust and Savings Bank, with the bidding to end at 6:30pm Sunday.
The local fire and rescue departments will have Santa Claus on hand for pictures and will also serve hot cocoa and cookies, along with several drawings for turkey giveaways. Additionally, there will be wreaths, trees and other decorations on display and part of another silent auction. Finally, the library will host a “Mrs. Claus’ Bakery” with several baked items to purchase as their fundraiser.
Proceeds from each of the activities will go back to the organization sponsoring it. All activities will take place at the Grand Junction Community Center.
