With the holiday season in full force, plenty of food will be shared around the family table. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources wants to make sure there’s plenty of activity to go along with the food. It’s with the holiday season in mind that the DNR is unveiling its “Take it Outside” campaign.

The DNR suggests seven popular fall/winter sources of activity. These include: hiking, hunting, scenic drives, camping/cabin renting, biking, fishing, and cross-country skiing. In particular, the DNR suggests picking an activity that best fits the current weather conditions and family interests.
