At the recent meeting of the Dallas County Supervisors, the Board considered an appointment to the Dallas County Conservation Board.
The term for Board member Mark Powell of Perry had expired, and he had expressed a desire to continue. The Conservation Board is a volunteer group that oversees all conservation activities and projects, including the Raccoon River Valley Trail. Their biggest project at the moment is the connector trail between the RRVT in Perry and the High Trestle Trail in Woodward. The Supervisors approved Powell’s reappointment, and his new term will run from now until December 31, 2022.
