All last month, 4-H members across Guthrie County took time to help those in need. The members donated school supplies to the northwestern and southeastern U.S. communities ravaged by fires and hurricanes respectively. Guthrie County 4-H also organized a Change War to raise funds for those same schools.
Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension 4-H and Youth Coordinator Mollie Clark was pleased with the results of the drive. “We raised about $750. So we were really happy with our Change Wars. Then we had two big boxes that are getting shipped off, one out west and then one down south.”
