Last Saturday two teams from Panorama Middle School’s Extended Learning Program competed in the First Lego League competition at Waukee Middle School. The sixth grade team placed first in the Core Values category, while the seventh and eighth grade team placed first in the Project category. Each team consisted of nine students.

The Core Values competition is based on inspiration, teamwork, and gracious professionalism. The Project competition is judged on advance research, an innovative solution to solve the competition’s “problem,” and the Project’s presentation. The teams practiced up to three days per week in preparation for the competition. John Deere, Women For Panora’s Future, and the Panorama Booster Club sponsored the teams.
