The Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department recently received a donation for the municipal swimming pool.

Beta Tau Delta presented a $700 check to Parks and Rec Director Vicky Lautner. She says the funds will be used to purchase tables made from recycled plastics for the snack area and benches to go around the pool. The century-old organization supports local youth in Greene County. Other organizations Beta Tau Delta has donated to this year include: Greene County Early Learning Center, the Webb House, free pool passes to both the Jefferson and Grand Junction pools, free youth admissions to the Mahanay Memorial Carillon Tower, Jefferson Library’s Summer Reading Program and free admission to the Blank Park Zoo for all second graders.
