A reminder: residents of Perry who are heading to the McCreary Recreation Building tomorrow to vote can take part in the annual Chamber of Commerce Chili Feed.
For $6, you can get all-you-can-eat chili or potato soup provided by Hy-Vee. Additionally, an assortment of desserts will be available, including homemade pies for $2 a slice. The Hy-Vee mobile medical van will also be at the Chili Feed giving people flu shots. Chamber Board member Misty VonBehren says the turnout for the event usually depends on the gravity of the election. “Obviously some years are busier than others. However, this year we happen to have four people running for the at-large for the council. So we’re hoping for a really good turnout. It’s a great opportunity to come out, vote, get your flu shot, have some chili!”
The Chili Feed will run from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. To learn more about this and other Chamber events, listen to last Friday’s Perry Fareway Let’s Talk Dallas County program at RaccoonValleyRadio.com.
