The Scottish Fox, one of the newest members of the downtown Perry area, is getting ready to celebrate a milestone, and the Chamber of Commerce wants to help celebrate with a ribbon cutting event.

Chamber Board member Emily Leslie says the ribbon cutting is more than just another excuse to showcase their special scissors. “The Scottish Fox is getting ready to anniversary for their first year in business, and we wanted to do a ribbon cutting just to celebrate that. To celebrate that business, downtown Perry, and all that (owner) Cherlyn Miner has brought to the downtown community.”

The ribbon cutting will be Friday at 4 p.m., and it’s just the beginning of the business’s anniversary festivities. Miner will also be holding a holiday open house on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 4. Leslie explains what people can expect from the open house. “That’s when she’s really going to highlighting her holiday decor, celebrating her one year of business. She will have, of course, snacks, which is great, and some drinks. So I encourage the community to come out and support the Scottish Fox!”
