Last week the Iowa High School Athletic Association revealed 2018 wrestling sectional assignments. West Central Valley will compete in the Class 1A, Section 2 tournament at Missouri Valley February 3rd.

The Wildcats will compete against the following teams: Audubon, Exira-EHK, Logan-Magnolia, Missouri Valley, West Harrison, and Woodbine. The top two finishers in each weight class from each of the two sectional meets will advance to the district tournament. The Class 1A District 1 Tournament is February 10th at ACGC in Guthrie Center. The Wildcats wrestling team is coming off a 2017 state tournament featuring two wrestlers. Then juniors, Quest Brown and Riley Algreen competed in the 113 and 182 pound classes respectively.
