Greene County RamsTomorrow, several Greene County High School students will be competing at the Iowa High School Music Association’s All-State auditions.

Choir Director Dave Heupel says there are 13 students performing. There are four sopranos, four altos, two tenors and three basses competing. Sophomore Jacob Hanson qualified for all-state last year and is looking to make it a second consecutive year. Senior Kara Betts made it to the second round of recalls last year, and is hopeful to qualify this year.

Band Director Wes Anderson says six instrumentalists will be auditioning this year. Three sophomores and three juniors will make the trip to audition for all-state. Five of the six students are auditioning for the first time, while one student, junior Linsey Kitt is auditioning for a third time on flute.

Greene County will travel to Atlantic for the auditions. Names of all the students who are auditioning can be found below.

Choir:

Soprano: Samantha Behne, Kaitlin Tjostem, Hannah Yetter and Andrea Grundon
