The fifth annual City of Perry Safety and Employee Appreciation Day is returning next Wednesday.
The event has been organized each year by Deputy Public Works Director Josh Wuebker, and it will include safety demonstrations, flu shots, worker’s compensation information, a catered meal, and a raffle of items donated by local businesses. It will also include employee recognition, as Wuebker explains, “We have three employees actually this year, that are getting recognized for 30 years of service. So that’s a pretty good task! So really looking forward to it, it’s something I really enjoy doing. Kind of been in charge of it for the last five years, so hopefully we can keep doing it and it’ll be a successful day.”
The festivities will run from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Perry Fire Station.
