Perry City Council 8-21

The Perry City Council will meet Monday evening in regular session.

During open forum, the Council will listen to a special presentation regarding the local option sales and services tax that is on the November city election ballot. Mayor Jay Pattee and others have been actively attempting to educate residents on the importance of the tax to the City in advance of the vote. During old business, the Council will consider the reappointment of Ashley Platt to the Planning and Zoning Commission. She has expressed a desire to return to the Zoning Board for another four-year term.

Finally, the Council will consider two resolutions relating to real property being donated to the City. The first is property located at 2105 North Street, currently owned by Robert Winburn. The other property is located in the Perry Industrial Park and includes two lots currently owned by William Scott. Each of the lots is considered underdeveloped and the City believes it could be used for future development.

The meeting is open to the public and will be held at 6 p.m. Monday in the Clarion Room of City Hall.
