The ACGC volleyball team closed out the season last Thursday with a win over Exira-EHK, defeating the Lady Spartans in straight sets 25-12, 25-13, 25-18.
MaKayla Hoing looks to be in prime playoff form with nine kills and twelve digs. Junior Jadeyn Carrick also had one of her best games with a seven kill, one block performance for the Lady Chargers. Madylin Smith had the most complete game for ACGC. Smith recorded eight digs, six assists, five blocks, five kills, and three aces in the win. The Lady Chargers close out the regular season with a record of 20-9.
Head Coach Lyndsey Noe has emphasized Smith and Hoing’s ability to lead this team and create positive team chemistry. Noe is hoping that will continue as the Lady Chargers begin their postseason charge a week from today. The Lady Chargers will face the winner of tomorrow night’s WCAC clash between Madrid and Panorama next Monday in Guthrie Center. The Lady Chargers haven’t dropped a set in three matches against the two squads this season.
