Dallas County Hospital recently announced some very positive returns on patient surveys regarding their Ambulatory Surgery Department.
The department received a 100% rating in six categories from 34 surveys returned in the last quarter. The categories included: friendly surgery nursing staff; confidence in the skill of the nurses; confidence in the skill of the surgeons; the whole staff worked together well; the patient was kept informed about any delays; and concerns and complaints were responded to in a satisfactory and timely manner.
Dallas County Hospital Surgery Manager Margo Starr said in a statement that the department always strives to make patients feel at home as much as possible during procedures. She realizes surgery is something that can make patients nervous, and was pleased to learn the surgeons and nurses did so well in easing those nerves.
