Landus-Logo_Color-300x159Landus Cooperative has developed a new free mobile application to help provide services more  efficiently for users.

Communications Director Alicia Heun says the app features hourly average scale-in to scale-out times by location at the elevators, daily grain market commentary, cash grain bids by location, future prices, location-specific harvest hours and frequently updated traffic photos for ten of the cooperative’s busiest locations including Jefferson, Adair, Boone and Ralston. She points out the photo addition to the app came from feedback from growers at their Ralston location, where there was a record-setting soybean harvest last year.

“So we decided we would give growers two pieces of information. First is how long does it take to get from the first scale, unload and then scale out. But that doesn’t necessarily tell you in Ralston in particular how long the line is. So there’s a camera that shows the street leading up to probing that you can tell for yourself how many trucks are in line. We’ll refresh that photo every five minutes.”

Heun notes that since the app is a new venture for Landus, she encourages users to provide feedback on the app, so they can continually improve and update it.

The app is available in Apple and Android stores for free.
