The annual Greene County Development Corporation meeting is scheduled for tonight.

Executive Director Ken Paxton says the event will take place in the Greene Room Events Center at Wild Rose in Jefferson. Social time begins at 6pm, with dinner and the meeting to start around 6:45pm. He talks about the line-up of speakers this evening.

“One of the three main speakers will be Zach Mannheimer, who is the head of a team of developers who are working on our large community development project, it’s called ‘Vision 2020.’ At the meeting, he will be ready to kind of make some recommendations. In addition, a guy named of Matt Ott from MidAmerican (Energy) will give us an update on the wind turbine project, and third will be Mitch Moore who will be talking to us about the Fieldhouse and our sports programs in the county.”

Paxton adds the goal of the annual dinner is to inform the public about various development projects that are going on across Greene County.

Tickets for the event are $20 per person and will be available at the door.
