West Central Valley WildcatThe West Central Valley School Board will meet as a new unit Wednesday evening. The Board will include newly elected Christine Stiles and Laura Weber. Stiles and Weber replace Marty Doud and Neal Crawford respectively, bringing with them a more gender-balanced Board to the West Central Valley School District.

Both Stiles and Weber point to open enrollment and eventual replacement of Superintendent Dr. David Arnold as the primary concerns facing the district. Stiles gave her stance on open enrollment. “We have a lot of children and families leaving our district, so that concerns me.” While Weber focused more on the Superintendent. “We need to find an individual who can promote communication, unity, and pride throughout our entire district.”

The meeting on Wednesday begins at 7pm in the Dexter Elementary Library with an organizational meeting to follow.
