A heavy dose of the running game helped the Panorama Panthers football team (3-1 overall; 1-1 Class 1A District 6) get back to winning form last Friday. The Panthers recorded 301 yards on the ground, helping Panorama even their district record at 1-1 with a 40-24 victory over Ogden. Panorama produced a season-low 61 yards in the previous week’s 21-7 setback versus Madrid.
Junior Brody Rickheim led the Panther rushing attack, collecting 111 yards on 14 carries and scoring three second-half touchdowns. Senior Blaine Barber added 38 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while sophomore Michael Allen broke off a 65-yard score in the final quarter. Panorama trailed 16-12 at halftime before outscoring Ogden, 28-8, in the second half.
Panorama’s record now sits at 3-1 overall and 1-1 in Class 1A District 6. The Panthers hit the road this Friday to Jewell for a district matchup versus South Hamilton (3-1 overall; 1-1 Class 1A District 6).
