There are only two Greene County Farmers Markets left this season.
John 15 Vineyard Co-Owner Dean Rogers is also a vendor at the farmers market and he encourages everyone to come out and support it.
“The Greene County Farmers Market every year has treated us very well. We have a good clientele and just the fact that there’s generally music, and food, and people come out for the market and it’s set up nicely. It’s one of the best markets that I know around.”
The farmers market provides items from locally grown produce, to crafts, baked goods and locally grown protein, which Rogers believes makes it appealing to a variety of people.
“That’s one good thing about the market, we have a good mix. I think that’s also another draw. And as the season goes on, of course some of the produce, some of the baked goods, things change with the seasons. So there’s always something new or different here to try or see anyhow and that’s always good.”
The final two days of the market will be tomorrow and next Tuesday. It takes place on the east side of the Greene County Courthouse in Jefferson from 4 to 6pm.
