West Central Valley Wildcat

Most Class 1A football programs have multiple players playing more than one position. You can argue no one is more important to the West Central Valley football team than senior Brock Wolfe. Wolfe is West Central Valley’s special team’s guru, serving as the team’s place kicker, punter, and is the top returner on kickoffs and punts. Wolfe’s 267 receiving yards leads Class 1A District 6 and his 56 yards rushing tops West Central Valley. His 21 total tackles are the second-most on the squad.

Wolfe and the Wildcats open their Class 1A District 6 schedule tonight in Stuart against Eagle Grove (2-0). The Eagles edged West Central Valley last season, 20-13. Eagle Grove matched their win total from a season ago with a 13-12 triumph over Clarion-Goldfield-Dows last week on the road. West Central Valley’s home opener versus the Eagle Grove Eagles kicks off at 7 p.m. from Stuart.
