Whitetail deer season is coming soon and quotas are far from filled in Guthrie County.
County hunters have only filled 50 resident antlerless tags and 1,900 are still available. There are also just over 100 available for antlerless non-resident tags and over 1,400 for resident early muzzleloader.
Hunters can obtain just one tag until September 15th. After the 15th, tags can be purchased by anyone until the quotas are filled. Every hunter is allowed two male deer licenses, one for bow and one for shotgun seasons.
Youth and disabled deer hunting seasons open the fall schedule and run from September 16th through October 1st. Bow hunting is from October 1st to December 1st and again from December 18th to January 10th. Early muzzleloader begins October 14th and lasts through the 22nd, with late muzzleloader running concurrently with the second bow hunting season. Finally, shotgun seasons start December 2nd and end December 17th.
