One of the first trends that Chris Morrow wanted to change when he took over the Perry girls basketball program was to bring excitement and enthusiasm to the sport at the younger levels. Morrow indicated it is critical to have a strong youth program if your high school is going to enjoy success.
“You need a solid youth program. It is critical for not only energy but for skill development. If you can build skill development at the younger age it helps the program because by the time they reach junior high and high school, you can expand and work on more advanced skills and not spend as much time on the basic skill set.”
Morrow took over the varsity girls program last month and has accepted a full time position with the Perry community schools.
