Shawn Antisdale

A West Des Moines man was arrested Monday morning after allegedly robbing the First State Bank in Redfield.

At around 11:44 a.m., the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the bank staff reporting the robbery of an unknown amount of cash. A deputy was already on patrol in Redfield at the time and responded quickly to the scene. A citizen alerted the deputy of a possible suspect vehicle, a direction of travel, and a driver description. At approximately 11:55 a.m., deputies made a traffic stop of a vehicle matching the description in the 30000 block of I Avenue.

The deputies detained 38-year-old Shawn Michael Antisdel of West Des Moines and later arrested him on charges of second degree robbery, a class C felony. He was transported to the Dallas County Jail, where he is currently being held on a $10,000 cash-only bond. He will have his initial appearance in court on August 31st. The Sheriff’s office says there are no other suspects at this time, and the general public was never in any danger. They wanted to thank the citizens of Redfield and the Adel Police Department for their assistance in catching the perpetrator so quickly.

Raccoon Valley Radio will have more information on this case as it’s made official.
