P31 Construction

Heavy rainfall over the weekend in Dallas County has caused some areas of the County Road F31 construction project to become impassable.

As a result, all residents who live east of Lexington Lane, including those who live on the road, will need to use Lexington Road as access, which is the gravel road on the east side of the Raccoon River Bridge. All residents west of Lexington Lane will need to use the north shoulder to Kimble Place. The secondary roads department doesn’t currently have an estimate of when the roads will be driveable again, especially with more rain expected.

The construction was expected to be done in three or four months, but the recent rains will likely push the timetable back. Through traffic is being diverted to County Road P58, Highway 44, and Highway 169.
