Whiterock Conservancy will be hosting a Slow Sunday Drive on August 20th at 5 p.m.
Nearly 13 miles of forest, pastures, and prairie will be open to ATV and utility vehicles this weekend.
The drive begins at Garst Farmhouse Ponds, just southeast of Coon Rapids. The Conservancy recommends driving from town through the underpass at the golf course. The cost is $25 per vehicle, which goes to help maintain the trails.
Today the Conservancy is also hosting a guided tour through the Savanna from 4-6pm. Come learn more about the plants and animals that occupy the land.
The Iowa Mountain Bike Championship Series also returns to the Conservancy for the Liberty Bell Cup on Saturday, August 26th. The event was rescheduled last month, due to rain.
