At the August Perry School Board meeting, they approved the continuation of an agreement with Genesis Development.
Each year, the District has agreed to an interagency memorandum of agreement with Genesis. The agreement provides support for students with disabilities that require additional assistance in preparing for the adult workforce. Genesis is able to provide the students with unique job experience opportunities, which the school doesn’t have the means to give. There are currently six Perry students taking part in the Genesis program. The school has had the agreement in place for several years, and the Board feels it’s a valuable service and worth continuing. They unanimously approved the agreement.
