Several tractors will be on the road this Saturday for the Scranton Tractor Ride.

The sixth annual event starts in Scranton at the community center, will head down to Willow Creek Custom in Bayard, and then lunch will be served at Timber Creek Therapies in Guthrie Center. The route continues up to Hunter Family Farms, before returning to the Scranton Community Center. Organizer Dawn Rudolph explains extra details with the free-will donation lunch at Timber Creek Therapies.

“It is a way for them to get some funds. I know they rely on a lot of donations and things to keep their facility running. So this is a way for our riders to give to that organization.”

She adds that there shouldn’t be too much tractor traffic on the heavier traveled parts of the roads on Saturday.

“We try to stay on gravel roads as much as possible. Of course when we are traveling to Timber Creek, there’s no direct gravel roads, other than getting off of Highway 44. So we will be on Highway 44 for a short distance between Guthrie Center and Timber Creek.”

Registrations begin at 7am and the ride starts at 8am. Contact Rudolph by Thursday to register for the ride at 370-5605.
