The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday in regular session.
Conservation Director Joe Hanner updated the board on bids for the Nations Bridge Park water line upgrade. Hanner voiced his concerns about not having enough funds to complete the project and requested a budget amendment. The bids for the project were $10,000 over the budget from the Conservation Board and reserve funds. The Board allowed Hanner to accept the bid from Holbrook Construction, pending the budget amendment. He hopes to begin the project late this fall to avoid conflicting with prime camping season.
County Engineer Josh Sebern proposed a bid for a cold storage shell, without overhead doors. Sebern hopes to add doors in the future if the funds are available. He also notified the Board that he has formally received a $15,000 grant for the project. The building, just west of Guthrie Center, would be south of the main shop. The Supervisors agreed with Sebern to put it out for bids until mid-September.
The Board also approved a right-of-way purchase agreement for a culvert replacement project on County Road N-54 for just under $5,000 and a $250,000 tax increment financing request for the secondary roads department.
