New Perry volleyball coach John Fulton is excited about some of his returning talent as the Jayettes gear up for the start of a new season.  Johanna Diw and Sidney Vancil both enter their senior year with lots of experience and talent that compliment each other well.

“Jo is going to be a big part of our offense as an outside hitter,” stated Fulton.  “She is a very powerful hitter and is probably one of the best attackers in the conference.  Sidney sees the court so well and she will be in charge of setting up our offense.  She has great hands and can get to anywhere on the court.  She does a good job of mixing up our looks.”

Fulton has been impressed with what he has seen in a limited amount of practice time and summer workouts.

“I thought our energy level and attendance was great during the summer months.  We held open gyms a couple times a week and averaged around 20 kids every time.  That was good to see.”

Fulton and the Jayettes will open up the season later this month.
