First year head football coach Mitch Moore realizes the Greene County Rams are the only high school program in the county, so he’s taking the team on the road for the public to see. The Rams will practice from 3:30-7:30 p.m. tomorrow (Friday) in Grand Junction. On Aug. 15 its on to Churdan for practice from 3:00-7 p.m., then practice is in Scranton on Thursday the 17th from 5-6:15 p.m.

It’s back to Linduska Field in Jefferson for Friday, Aug. 18 for an event being called Football Family Night from 6-9 p.m. Youth through eighth graders will play Battle Ball and football players in grades 9-12 will hold an intra squad scrimmage.

The Rams open the 2017 season on Friday, Aug. 25 in Jefferson at Linduska Field vs. the Knights of Kuemper Catholic with the freshmen playing at 4:45 p.m. and the varsity contest at 7:30 p.m. All Greene County varsity football games can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
