A Scranton man was sentenced to probation on drug charges.
According to court documents, 33-year-old Travis Michael Straight was sentenced to three years of probation after pleading guilty to a Class D Felony for possession with intent to deliver marijuana. He was also charged with an aggravated misdemeanor for child endangerment, but the State dismissed that charge.
The sentence stems from an executed search warrant on January 30th in the 1000 block of Eagle Street in Scranton. Authorities recovered drug paraphernalia, a digital scale, an open duffle bag, $162 and less than 50-kilograms of marijuana. Court documents show that the drug activity was about ten-feet from Straight’s three-year-old daughter’s bedroom. The home was also located about 267-feet from Greene County School’s property.
Straight was ordered to pay over $1,000 in fines, surcharges and court costs. He will also undergo a substance abuse evaluation.
